A team will be selected from a taluk or an area (for example: a team from a metropolitan area like Bangalore, Mangalore as per the Vidhan Sabha area). The selected team will have to pay an entry fee of Rs. 5000/- within three days of receiving the message. Otherwise, a replacement team will be provided. 15 teams will be selected for the final round. The first place team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a certificate and a “Natya Sarva Bhauma” trophy. Two teams will be awarded second prize (Rs. fifty thousand) and all the teams selected for the final round will be awarded a consolation prize of Rs. 10000/-.
The dance team selected for the competition must perform a dance of less than 7 minutes. They must perform the dance at the time allotted to them on May 7,8,9,10,11. The team selected for the final round must be ready for another dance performance in advance. Or they can perform the same dance. The final round performance must be performed on May 12.
